The Public Information Office is a new division created during the summer of 2008.
The Public Information Office is responsible for the internal and external communications of Thornton Township High School District 205. This office is managed by the Public Information Officer. Examples of the projects undertaken by the Public Information Office include, but are not limited to publishing a bi-annual newsletter/magazine, yearly calendar, media relations, liaison with the 13 government access TV channels in District 205, coordinating a variety of special events, in addition to public affairs programs, crisis communications, marketing campaigns, web site management, advertising, promotions, citizen academies, public speaking, resident surveys, intergovernmental programs, managing District Academic Enrichment Foundation and coordinating special projects for the district.
