Students in Mr. Sievers AP Physics at Thornridge visited Argonne National Laboratory. Argonne is a government run facility that does cutting edge, world-renown research in astronomy, medicine, physics, engineering and electronics. The students toured several experiments at the facility and were provided information on the career opportunities, active research, proposed research, past accomplishments and internships available at Argonne. This was an excellent opportunity for District 205 students to be exposed to a research facility, make connections with concepts they learn in the classroom, and to encourage them to pursue a college education.
