Habitat for Humanity 12-1-07
On 12/1 Mr. Sievers accompanied 2 students from Thornridge High School:
Deshawn Benn and Doug Bright to “pitch in” and help finish drywall work on the
last of 3 houses in Chicago Heights that need to be done by 12/15. The students
had to drywall a 12 foot by 15 foot room. The students used drywall adhesive
and drywall screws to fasten the drywall to the walls. The students did an
outstanding job and they finished the room in approximately four hours.
Afterwards, Mr. Sievers treated the students to lunch at Hog Wild. Since the
houses need to be finished by 12/15, it is possible another trip will be planned
next week to help finish the house on time.
