Habitat for Humanity 3-22-08
It was “Ladies Day” at
H4H. On 3/22 Mr. Sievers accompanied 6 students from Thornridge High School:
Kaneesha Joe, Kierra Barnett, Lauren White, Cherita Ousley, Porshey Beavers, and
Khamisha Wilson to work at the house in Harvey. Since house is nearing
completion and the dedication ceremony is slated for 4/5, the students were
responsible for removal of all unused construction material, removal of
equipment, and general cleanup. The ladies did an outstanding job despite the
cold weather and have been invited back to attend the dedication ceremony on
4/5. The work was completed in approximately 4 hours and afterwards Mr.
Sievers treated the students to lunch at Hog Wild.
