Mentos & Diet Coke Lab

Mr. Sievers Physics 1 classes at Thornridge took advantage of warm weather to conduct the infamous Mentos-Diet Coke Lab. Students are seen dropping increasing amounts of Mentos into a specially designed nozzle and then noting the affect. Students used a 12ft board marked out in increments of 0.1 meters to measure the height of spray for 1,2,3,4,5,or 6 Mentos. Students had to complete a lab sheet and make a graph of Spray Height in meters vs Number of Mentos. The affects were spectacular and the students enjoyed the lab.
