Shoot for your Grade

Students in Mr. Sievers AP Physics class used CPO projectile launchers and timers to Shoot for their Grade. The students utilized projectile motion concepts, theoretical equations, and the CPO launcher to determine where to place a target on the ground and then strike the target with a projectile from the launcher. This was not a trivial exercise, since the launcher was placed on the lab table and the target was on the ground; thereby forcing a differential height to be accounted for in the students equations. The lab was quite fun and extensive. The students had to perform numerous calculations to determine where to place their target.
