Ticker Tape Lab Part Deux

Mr. Sievers PreAP Physics classes at Thornridge performed the famous ticker tape lab. Students used two vehicles, a vehicle traveling at constant speed and a vehicle accelerating to explore Position-Time and Velocity-Time graphs. Students performed the lab by using ticker tape devices to record the motion of the vehicles. They then used MS Excel to create the graphs. They needed two graphs for each vehicle: a Position-Time and Velocity-Time graph. The students enjoyed the lab and it was an enriching educational experience.
