Biology is a balance of traditional and modern science. students are provided a rich experience through broad concepts applicable to all living systems. The course is organized around the following concepts.
- Cell structure and function.
- Evolution and its relationship to phyla.
- Energy requirements to support organization
- Behavior and ecology of organisms
- Heredity
- Scientific Methodology
Technology and considerable laboratory investigations aid students in their understanding of the concepts. during laboratory investigations students will practice work place skills, and strong emphasis is placed on laboratory safety.
