Fred Bilotto

Fred Bilotto holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Saint Xavier University and Educational Administration from Governors State University with a Masters of Arts Degree.

For twelve years, Fred taught Social Studies at Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Illinois.  While at Thornton Township High School, he was involved in various committees and positions at the high school level, district level, and regionally.

Fred Bilotto is very involved in his hometown of Blue Island, Illinois, serving as Mayor and other positions within the city and township.  He is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer for the State of Illinois and serves on his children’s school board, and Chairman of his church’s finance and festival committees. 

Fred has been happily married to his wife, Stephanie, for many years, and together they have three children.  Fred enjoys spending time with his family, rehabbing properties, restoring antique cars, traveling, and of course, eating.

Hi, I am the Division Leader for Science and CTE at Thornwood High School.  I was the Science Area Instructional Leader (AIL) in District 205 for 10 years.  Before that, I was a science teacher at Thornwood and other middle schools and high schools for 21 years.  I earned my education credentials at Purdue University, Boston College and Indiana State University.  I was among the first cohort of teachers in the nation to earn National Board Teacher Certification. 

I am excited to lead our staff through the development of Next Generation Science Standards curriculum and assessments.  I enjoy working with our sender schools to develop creative and interactive science programs.  I also serve on the District 205 Resilience Team.  My great joy in life has been to parent my two teenage sons.  I am happy to meet with you.  Please call for an appointment my office phone is 708-225-4785.
