Diversity ClubDIVERSITY CLUBThe Thornton Township High School Diversity Club is an organization dedicated to bridging the gap among our various student communities. What does this mean?
Here at Thornton, we have many different groups: men and women, African Americans, Hispanics and Indians, LGBTQ, athletes and non – athletes…the list could go on. The aim of Diversity Club is to bring those groups together to make our school a better, friendlier, safer place for all of our students.
How do we accomplish that? By community service, leadership training, speakers, and awareness events. For example, the annual Diversity Dinner, Hispanic and Black History Month assemblies, Cinco de Mayo dance, The Day of Silence, etc, where people of all races, ages, and gender come together to discuss issues related to diversity.WHAT: DIVERSITY CLUB
