    All Time Defensive Back

     

    quinn Quinn Buckner Defensive back 1971:

    Was a two time All-Conference, All-Area, All-State. Was an All-American his senior year. Leader on the 1970 Mythical State Championship Team. Was also a very good return man. Lead the basketball team to two state championships in which he was All-Conference, All-Area, and All State. Was All-American senior year in basketball. Is one of a few athletes to be High School All-American in two sport. Went on to play basketball for four years and football for two at Indiana University. Lead basketball team to the 1976 NCAA National Championship. Was Drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1st round of the NBA Draft. also drafted by the Washington Redskins in 7th Round. Won a NBA title with the Boston Celtics. Quinn was Thornridges Athlete of the year in 1972.

     

     

    russ Russ Calabrase Defensive Back 1974:

    Was All-Conference, All-Area senior year. Went on to Missouri and became a two time ALL-Big Eight player. Is tied in Career interceptions with Chris Muhammad at 10.

     

    thigpen Eric Thigpen Defensive Back 1993:

    Was a two time All-Conference, All-Area player for Thornridge. Was All-State, and All- American senior year. One of three players to be named Football All-Americans. Went on to play football at Iowa University. Also was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1999 Draft. Eric was Thornridges Athlete of the year in 1994

     

    chris Chris Muhammad Defensive Back 2007:

    Was a two time All-Conference All-Area choice. Tied for career interceptions with Russ Calabrase with 10, and season interceptions with 9. Went on to play at Rock Valley Community College and Southwest Baptist College in Missouri. Help lead 2007 team to a 9-3 season and a quarterfinal berth in the IHSA State Playoffs.

     

     

    andre Andre Fields Defensive Back 1994:

    Was an All-Conference, All-Area player senior year. Went on to play football at South Dakota were he was an All-Conference player. Went on to play seven years in the Arena Football League with the Sioux Falls Storm. Won two championship there. After playing days went on to be an assistant coach for Sioux Falls Storm and at present time is still coaching there. Won 5 cosecutive championships with the Storm as a Coach.
