Role at Outlook Academy
I teach a variety of science courses at Outlook. Although the content may vary from class to class, I intentionally focus on developing scientific skills that extend beyond the classroom and into everyday life. These include analyzing and evaluating sources, thinking critically, and solving problems effectively.
As the News Club Sponsor, I oversee and support students as they write, edit, and film the weekly announcements.

Philosophy & Approach
A big part of my personality is that I am a problem solver. I genuinely enjoy figuring things out and solving mysteries, which probably explains my fascination with crime shows and true-crime stories. That same mindset shapes how I work with students. I want to help guide them through challenges, not solve problems for them or excuse them from the work, but instead show them that success is possible and help them discover how to get there.
I want students to understand that their grades are a direct reflection of the time, effort, and commitment they put forth in class. The course rules and procedures establish clear expectations and define the boundaries that support student success.
Favorite Part of Working at Outlook
My favorite part of working at Outlook is the diversity of personalities, skills, and interests among our staff. Because we each bring something different to the school community, we are able to connect with and support a wider range of students. This also gives students meaningful opportunities to develop their social and professional interaction skills by learning how to work with people who have different strengths and perspectives. Rather than expecting everyone to be the same, Outlook embraces what makes each of us unique, and that sense of authenticity helps students feel more comfortable being themselves as well.
