Role at Outlook Academy

As Outlook Academy’s Truancy Representative, I am responsible for monitoring student attendance and conducting home visits for truant students to better understand the reasons behind their absences.

Philosophy & Approach

My approach to working with students is centered on personal connection and proactive support. When students are in attendance, I meet with them in person, often in my office, to discuss any challenges they may be facing and develop a plan to help them stay engaged, improve their attendance, and remain successfully enrolled in the program.

 

What I want students to know about me is that I have an open-door policy. They can always reach out to me by email or phone to share anything that may be preventing them from attending school regularly, and I will do my best to help find a solution.

Favorite Part of Working at Outlook

I love that we are like a family here, staff and students. The love shows on both ends.
