PE Medicals

If you feel that you qualify for a PE medical, below is our descriptive definition:

  1. Students excused from Physical Education for over six weeks will receive a medical grade (M) for the term.
  2. Those excused from Physical Education for less than six weeks will need to follow the Modified Physical Education Policy. Under this policy any student who has a medical for less than six weeks should dress daily and inform their teacher of the medical via an approved note from the school nurse. The student will be given a medical packet that they will need to complete during their class period and must earn a 70% or higher score to receive credit.
  3. Those who earn a grade for one term and a medical grade for the other will receive a final semester grade based on the grade earned while actively participating.
  4. Medicals may not be retroactive.

If you feel that your physician's diagnosis meets this criteria please see the Thornridge School Nurse for the proper paperwork
